The school opens at 7.30am, details of which are in the Parents’ Section of the website. The gates open at 8.00am, where staff members are always present, and children enter the playground to catch up with friends. The gate is closed at 8.45am, and the teaching day begins when the children are collected from the playground by their class teacher. If the gate has been shut when you arrive at school you will be required to enter school using the main entrance, and sign into the late book.

Each day is divided into 5 lessons of 50 minutes with additional times for assemblies, choirs and hymn practice. There is a 25-minute morning break. Lunchtime is between 12.20pm – 1.30pm. Activities and resources are available for children during these times, and our younger children often choose to play in the garden on the climbing equipment.

The school day ends at 3:30pm when Year 1 to Year 6 are taken to the gate, shake hands with their class teacher and are safely returned to their parents or carers. Teachers are always available for a quick chat at the end of the day and appointments can be made if parents wish to meet for longer.

Academic timetables for each class are sent out at the beginning of each year in order that parents know which subjects are being taught when, along with homework and club timetables.

Before- and After-School Care is offered at Bronte, details of which are in the Parents’ section of the website.
