Over the long and, hopefully hot, summer holidays, finding good quality childcare and enjoyable activities for the children, can sometimes be daunting. The Bronte Summer School operates over the first 4 weeks of the summer holidays, when Bronte children, and their friends from other schools if they wish, can relax and have fun in a safe environment, with familiar members of staff.
Different activities are available daily and there is plenty of time as well for outside and inside play that is not structured, when children can simply “chill”.
Parents are informed of the dates for Summer School in advance.
Christmas Activity Break
Immediately after the end of the Autumn Term, there is also a two day “activity break”. This is filled with Christmas craft-type activities, including present-wrapping and skills, and can perhaps also give parents themselves the chance for some secret present-buying and wrapping….
Year 6 Revision Course
At the end of the summer holidays, there is a revision week open to children about to start Year 6. This is designed to help momentum for the coming year and for senior school entry examinations, including the 11+ Kent and Medway Tests, and independent school entry examinations.
Parents will be informed of the dates for the Year 6 Revision Course in advance, which is usually the last week of the Summer holidays.
